Physiotherapy
We have a great team of Physical Therapists at FORM who believe in a holistic & integrated approach to rehabilitation. This means looking at your body as a whole to get to the root of the problem and fixing the symptoms as well as the cause. Our Physical Therapists use a variety of techniques, some of which include manual therapy, acupuncture, exercise therapy, Clinical Pilates, electrical muscular stimulation & ultrasound.
Massage Therapy (RMT)
Massage therapy is a corrective, rehabilitative, and preventive form of health care that helps facilitate recovery from injuries and improve overall health. By expertly manipulating the soft tissue and joints in your body, a registered massage therapist can help alleviate many of the aches and pains that compound after years of physical activity. This form of restoration can be used in conjunction with other practices such as physiotherapy and Pilates to help rehabilitate and recover from injuries or other physical limitations. When living in a fast paced city like Vancouver, massage therapy can be a great way to ease out the tension and stresses that accumulate over time.
Our Yaletown Registered Massage Therapists will recommend custom programs based on your individual needs and response to treatment. These programs may incorporate a variety of techniques such as manual and exercise therapy, intramuscular stimulation, deep tissue and fascial release. If you’re currently following a rehabilitation program, our Massage Therapists will coordinate with our in house physiotherapists, Pilates and yoga instructors to help you reach your goals as quickly and effectively possible.
Buccal Massage (RMT)
Buccal Massage + Lymphatic drainage
Buccal massage is highly effective in alleviating tension headaches and jaw pain by addressing both the external areas of the face and the areas prone to tension, particularly the head, neck, and shoulders.
Buccal face and neck massage helps release tensions that are often transmitted through fascial planes, impacting the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and the muscles responsible for facial expressions.
In addition, the added benefits of lymphatic drainage may help with headaches, sinusitis decreases edema, skin conditions like acne or eczema, reduces pain, and promotes relaxation.
